Abstract: In Monstropolis there is one combined fear and that fear is a child. Sully and Mike are bestfriends which work at Monster Inc., Monstropolis's main source of energy. When Sully lets Boo (a little girl) into Monstropolis, he and Mike must find a way to send her back to the human world before they are found with her.
Critique: When people ask me what the foundation of 3-D animation is, there are three two films that come to mind, Toy Story and Monsters Inc.. What Pixar was able to establish with these two movies is beyond my imagination. Monsters Inc. , is a exceptional film for everyone to enjoy and treasure. To think that Pixar was able to establish such a completely great film with great characters is incredible. 2001's best animated feature without question.
Recognitions: Monsters Inc. was nominated for 4 academy awards including Best Animated Feature and Best Score. It won the award for Best Song, If I Didn't Have You. Unfortunately, it lost to Shrek for Best Animated Feature.
