Abstract: A film about cops organizing crimes in Los Angeles during the early 1950's. The question was why? and how? did they get away with it. In the particular crime portrayed in L.A Confidential, Bud White(Russell Crowe) and Liutenant Ed Exley (Guy Pearce) try to discover the outcome of a bloody murder scene including a ex-cop.
Genre: Action/Drama
Critique: L.A Confidential, is a excellent film not because of the story or the location, but because of the acting. Russell Crowe is great is this film, because he fits the police officer role to authenticity. Kevin Spacey no need for words on how great he acts, but Guy Pearce performs a incredible role in this film as well. One of the best police films known to date, I consider this film to be one of the best of the late 90's.
Recognitions: L.A Confidential won the academy award for best supporting actress and best adapted screenplay.
