Sincerely Yours, The Breakfast Club

Title: The Breakfast Club (1985)

Signature Quote: "Dear Mr. Vernon: We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But, we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. We found out is that each one of us is: a brain ,and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, and a criminal. Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club."

My Grade: 4.6

Abstract: 5 different people stuck in school on a Saturday have nothing to talk about, but each other.

Critique: Many different reviews and articles classify The Breakfast Club as the best movie of the 80's. I classify it as one of the top 5 of the 80's, let me explain why it is acclaimed so highly. A story that talks about nothing but the variety and complexities of different lifestyles of people who don't care, teenagers. Telling this film from a perspective of a teenager is what makes it such a remarkable film, theses 5 teenagers talk about nothing, but their own lives and how it effects them.

Recognitions: #1 high school film on Entertainment Weekly and on many more as the best high school film in history.
